Configuring the Lead Page Layout

Last Updated: Aug 12, 2014 06:26PM BST

Salesforce Users without Daddy Analytics Licenses

These users will not see any of the fields. The only thing they will see is the section heading saying "Daddy Analytics", so you don't have to worry about creating a second page layout for these users. They can use the same page layout as Daddy Analytics licensed users.

Configuring the Page Layout

For Enterprise and Unlimited Customers, please place 11 fields shown in the image below on your Lead Page. Some fields will not need to be on the page.

For Professional Edition Customers, due to Salesforce security you will need to place every Daddy Analytics field on your page. You may wish to place the extra fields (User and Session ID, Geolocation, Token) at the bottom of the page layout, visually out of the way.

The field is among the Daddy Analytics fields due to Salesforce's unique alphabetization - it is not part of Daddy Analytics and is often mistakenly added to your page layout during the page layout changes.

The image is below. Click the image for a high res image. For a list of what the fields are and what they do, please see this document.

We recommend you use two section headers. The top one can be called Daddy Analytics, the second one Daddy Analytics VF Page. The second header should be a single column header, and should have both checkboxes unchecked for Detail and Edit page.

The VisualForce page should be configured to be 300 pixels high. You can do this by moving your mouse over the light blue background until the wrench/spanner appears in the upper right corner, and clicking it.
