Wufoo - Beta

Last Updated: Feb 02, 2015 10:33AM GMT
Using Daddy Analytics with Wufoo forms is possible, but requires manual adjustment of each form at the Javascript level. And, because of how Wufoo forms work, it's best to exclusively use Wufoo forms or to not use them at all - mixing Wufoo with non-Wufoo forms is particularly tricky.

Tracking Code
The first step is to put just the bottom two lines of the four line tracking script on every page of your site, towards the bottom, just before the closing body tag. Please double check this against your Daddy Analytics Setup Checklist page in Salesforce, but it should be something like

<script src="//hello.staticstuff.net/w/__stats.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">try{ clicky.init(100XXXXX); }catch(e){}</script>

(where 100XXXXX is a number unique to your org - don't actually use '100XXXXX')

You don't need to worry about the top two lines of the four line tracking script because the Wufoo form is taking care of that.

On one of more wufoo forms, make two fields, hide them, and add the highlighted code

So your new Wufoo form looks like:

<script type="text/javascript">
var da_token=(new Date().getTime())+'-'+Math.floor(Math.random()*9999999);
var clicky_custom = {session: {DaddyAnalytics: da_token}};
var s7m4m7 = new WufooForm();
s7m4m7.initialize({
'Daddy_Analytics_Token':da_token,
'Daddy_Analytics_URL':location.href,
'userName':'semllc',
'formHash':'s7m4m7',
'autoResize':true,
'height':'866',
'header':'show',
'ssl':true});
s7m4m7.display();
</script>

From there, you should get in your Wufoo forms a token that looks similar to 1366562757579-4692827, and the URL of the page.

That token should end up in Salesforce in the DA Token field, and within 15 minutes (if not immediately) that should have some/all of the Daddy Analytics fields populated. You should always see fields like DA Landed On and DA ISP Listed As. For Organic Search you will see more fields populated, and for visitors that arrive via a utm-tagged link, you should see the DA Campaign fields.

Please remember that we track the first page visit of the first session, so during testing, you'll want to open up an Chrome Incognito (of Firefox Private, etc.) browser and use that for each new lead submission, making sure you close all Incognito / Private browsers between each lead submission.
